M. Stephanie Urano

Stephanie Urano joined Walls Landry Baker & Oliver in 2023, bringing nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate law. Her practice encompasses a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, leases, brokerage agreements, and financing. Stephanie represents clients in complex real estate projects nationwide, such as the acquisition, development, and financing of properties for an Alzheimer’s care facility developer, multi-family projects, and retail developments. Her work in real estate law has earned her recognition in The Best Lawyers in America® for 2024, 2025, and 2026.
Before joining WLBO, Stephanie was a partner at Cherry Petersen Landry Albert, where she represented clients in all facets of commercial real estate transactions. She also served as in-house counsel for an insurance company, providing her with a unique perspective on the business and legal issues her clients face.
Stephanie earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Lubbock Christian University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law on a full academic scholarship, where she received the Am Jur Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing and served in several leadership roles, including on the Legal Research and Writing Board and the Board of Barristers.
Currently, Stephanie is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section, and the Dallas Bar Association. She is also dedicated to giving back through charitable and community organizations throughout North Texas and enjoys spending time with family and friends while staying engaged in her local community.
